Thank you for your interest in the VCI Button™. Use it to resist corrosion formation inside enclosed spaces such as in: your tool box, inside the housings of your expensive electronics, under the cover of your outboard motor, in your engine compartment, inside your gun case, and with your photographic and video equipment.

VCI technology is based upon the dissemination of a corrosion blocking material through the air which is then deposited upon exposed metallic surfaces. The deposited material, perhaps as thin as a single molecule, forms a mono molecular film that disrupts the flow of electrons needed to form a corrosion cell at the point of corrosion.

VCI materials can migrate relatively far distances in confined spaces seeking out and coming in contact with exposed metals. VCI compounds are now used on the packaging and wrapping of electronic circuit boards and on heavy pieces of industrial equipment which may be left in storage for months. They also protect guns and tools.

How To Use Your VCI Button™

Your VCI Button (tm) is designed to resist corrosion in a confined space of 10 cubic feet for a period of at least one year.

Write the installation date on the label of your VCI Button, then remove the paper backing on the adhesive tape located on the back of the button and stick button to a surface inside the confined space. Replace after one plus years. Order replacement buttons from Progressive Epoxy Polymers, Inc.
